Hanukkah Party Games Ideas
Host your Hanukkah party with these fun games ideas!

- Dreidel Tournament

Give each player 5–10 chocolate coins. Everyone puts one coin in the pot and takes turns spinning the dreidel. Follow the symbol rules (נ = nothing, ג = take all, ה = take half, ש = add one). Keep going until one player has all the coins!
2. Menorah Relay Race

Set up two large paper or felt menorahs. Split into teams. Each player runs to the menorah, adds one flame (paper or Velcro), and runs back to tag the next player. First team to “light” all 8 candles wins!
3. Gelt Treasure Hunt

Hide chocolate gelt or Hanukkah-themed items around the room. Give kids a simple clue sheet or map. They must collect all items and bring them back to a “treasure station” to trade for a small prize.
4. Decorate-a-Donut Contest

Set out plain donuts, icing, and toppings. Kids decorate their donut with their own designs. Judges (or each child) votes for “Most Creative,” “Most Colorful,” etc. Everyone eats their creation afterward.
5. Hanukkah Bingo
Print out Bingo board and pass out to family members. Call out or show pictures one at a time. Kids mark each symbol with a sticker or candy. First to get a line yells “BINGO!” and wins a small prize!

6. Hanukkah Charades
Prepare cards with Hanukkah items: “Maccabee,” “Latke Frying,” “Lighting the Menorah,” “Dreidel,” etc.
Players act them out without speaking; teams guess in under 30 seconds!

7. Pass The Present
Wrap a small gift in many layers of wrapping. Start playing music, while guests pass the gift around the circle. When the music stops, the person holding it removes one layer. Keep going until the final gift is revealed. Whoever ends up with final gift, wins the gift!

8. Hanukkah Trivia Games

Create questions based on the story of Hanukkah and laws of Hanukkah. Divide everyone into teams and choose one person to be the trivia host. The host reads each question aloud, and teams either raise their hand or write down their answers. Correct answers earn points, and the team with the most points at the end wins. You can add a quick lightning round for extra fun!
Enjoy and Happy Hanukkah!
