How to Assemble an Epic Meat Board:
It’s all about creating, designing and having fun with it!
Start off with a big board. Using a large board with a lip around the outside will help the food stay on the board and prevent the counter or table from becoming a big mess.
Using a board with a raised edge eliminates the mess, and keeps the food nice and neat.
Start with the meat as it anchors the board. Work in odd numbers, so, depending on the size of your party, choose 3, 5, or 7 types of meat to place around the board.
Fold and add the meats: fold them in half and fan them out like a dec of cards, or folding them in half twice, so they are easy to grab. For thin meat, fold them in a light and airy ribbon.
Use mini jars for condiments. Spread mini jars throughout the board and fill with dips and spreads.
Add savory and sweet accompaniments. Separate colors in a way that allows the brightest colors to stand out and place foods together that pair well together.
Fill in all extra spaces and gaps with crackers, nuts or fruit.
TIP! In order for your board to look super impressive, make sure to fill up the board completely and don’t leave any extra spaces or gaps!

Be proud of your gorgeous board and be sure to snap photos and tag @careforspecialchildren on Instagram!
