What To Do If Your Child Gets Lost
With all the outdoor fun and amusement park adventures this summer, it’s important to prepare children for the unexpected.

With all the outdoor fun and amusement park adventures this summer, it’s important to prepare children for the unexpected. G-d forbid a child gets separated or lost — it can happen in a second. Make sure you are prepared and know what to do if this ever happens.
Here Are Tips to Teach Your Child What to Do If They Find Themselves Lost:
1. Always Put ID Info On Your Child-

Make sure you have your child wear a medical ID bracelet, tag, or shoe label with their information on them. The information should consist of name, phone number, and medical information. Here is an example of what our camp, Care Club puts on our campers shirts on trip days.
2. Understand Triggers Or Patterns-
Know what triggers your child to run or wander, such as loud noises, crowded spaces, or boredom. Pay extra attention during those moments so you can step in early and help prevent them from getting lost.
3. GPS Trackers-
One of the smartest things you can do is attach a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag to your child, so you can always know their location and find them quickly and effectively if they ever go missing.
4. Take Daily Photo Of Your Child
If you’re going to busy places (zoo, mall, fair), snap a photo of your child that day. It helps responders know what they’re wearing just in case they are lost.
5. Don’t Panic–
Try not to panic. Your calmness helps more than you think, it keeps you focused and helps your child feel safe when they’re found.
CARE Goes Above and Beyond
Words cannot express how grateful I am for CARE. Their unwavering support and compassionate care has been a lifeline for our family. Knowing we have a dedicated team of professionals who truly care about my child's well-being brings me immense peace of mind. Thank you, CARE, for being a beacon of hope and a source of strength for our family.
